Daruma Dolls - Bonfils-Stanton Livingston Fellowship Award

Daruma Dolls - Bonfils-Stanton Livingston Fellowship Award

4x4x4"  |  Hand-carved basswood with mineral oil and beeswax  |  2025

A talisman of perseverance, the daruma’s blank eyes are completed by the recipient through goal-setting and accomplishment. The first eye is filled in when a goal is set. The second eye is completed once that goal is realized. I hope it serves as both a celebration of the goals these fellows have already achieved and a gentle encouragement to keep going.

Special thank you to both Louise Martorano and Chrissy Deal from BSF for trusting me with the creation of this year’s award. It’s truly been an honor.

Congratulations to the 2025 Livingston Fellows! The Bonfils-Stanton Foundation celebrates 20 years of supporting visionary leaders in Colorado’s social sector through this fellowship program.
